GENERAL -- Needs minor repair, see KNOWN PROBLEMS below.
Original owner selling classic 1979 Ford Mustang hatchback w/ turbocharged 4-cylinder engine (similar to 1997 Indy 500 pace-car except pace-car had V8). Complete with Shelby type TRX suspension package and Michelin wide-track tires on 390 mm wheels. This 2.3 L engine with turbocharger delviers comparablle horepower and torque to the pace-car mentioned. Car was last run and licensed for the streets in 2007. Car will be sold AS-IS for cash with shipping arranged and funded by buyer. Other than cash is okay but delivery witl be delayed for payment certifiication.
KNOWN PROBLEMS --
1) We don't have enough space or money for an additional car at this time.
2) The power-steering pump leaked and squirted fluid onto nearby electric-wiring connector-plugs which corroded and caused shorting out of the engine igntion, usually during turning..
3) Michelin tires don't have enough tread for safe driving but were not replaced due to lack of funds.
OTHER --
BODY -- All around tinted glass, no accidents; needs paint; softball size ding above left-rear tire in 1/4 panel; doors, hatchback, and hood closure is solid; Cobra decals behind front wheels on fenders; Sunroof-removable glass with louvered shade matching interior. .
INTERIOR --The interior is red vinyl; door panels and passenger bucket seat in good condition; headliner is broken loose above dashboard; the dashboard has spedometer, odometer, tachometer, and gages for water temp, oil press, amperage, and gasoline; AM/Clock radio.
DRIVETRAIN -- 4- speed stick shift works well; 3.08 rear-axle ratio,
ENGINE -- Cakiformnia emissions system.
